It has been neither a warm year nor an easy one, that's for sure.
Winter was very rainy and we registered much colders days than in 2020.
Spring, as we know it, was almost nonexistent.
Low temperatures marked also the months of March and April, reaching their peak on the night between the 7th and 8th of April when a terrible frost hit the region and in one night damaged almost 30% of our vines,
which they did not recover and so they did not produce.
Temperatures finally started rising in May and we registered the hottest temperatures in the first 10 days of August.
Summer was hot as usual, however we did not have a single drop of rain from middle of May until beginning of September and this affected the production massively in terms of quantity.
2021 vintage will be a much more limited release, especially linked to the Cabernet Franc grapes, but of incredible quality.
